Stoneleigh Capital LLC is a platform for its principals to make actively managed private equity investments in basic industry, real estate, and financial services. Over the past fifteen years its principals and affiliates have acquired an income producing real estate portfolio consisting of over 1 million square feet of commercial and industrial space, 1,700 apartment units and a development portfolio which consists primarily of a 275 acre single family home project in Malibu, California, a 1,000 unit single family home development in Kelowna, British Columbia, and over 100 acres of mixed use land in St. Petersburg, Florida. They also are partners in two ski resort development projects (located in Durango, Colorado and Kirkwood, California) with approvals to develop in excess of 1,000 housing units; Caneel Bay, an exclusive hotel on the island of St. John; and partners in Capella Hotel Group, a worldwide operator of luxury hotels and resorts. In addition to real estate, the principals have acquired two equipment finance companies which have originated over $4 billion in lease transactions and a group of acute care hospitals. Its transportation finance business primarily invested in railcars, aircraft, marine containers, and shipping vessels.
Prior to founding Stoneleigh, its principals have managed and invested in numerous resort development projects throughout the United States.
